Falaj 6: Read the Bits
The 10 characters at the start of a long listing describe a file: its type, then three sets of read, write and execute permissions for the owner, the group and everyone else. Who you are, and which groups you belong to, decide which set applies to you.
The letters directory contains five files that look identical at a glance. Most of them will refuse to open, some because they belong to the wrong group and some because the right group has no read permission. One file is readable by you through your group. Use id to see your groups, ls -l to read the permissions, and reason about each file before you try to open it.
The reasoning is the lesson: you should be able to say why the other four refuse you. This is a simulated shell over invented files: it understands a teaching subset of commands, and help lists them. When you have the password for level 7, run login 7 <password> or paste it into the answer box.
