Falaj 9: Column Nine
Exports from other systems rarely arrive in a friendly shape. This one is a single line: rows are separated by a hash sign, and fields inside each row are separated by semicolons. The shell has small tools for reshaping text like this.
tr translates or deletes characters, so it can turn the row separator into a line break. cut selects fields by position when you tell it the delimiter, and grep picks the row you want. The password is in the ninth field of the row that belongs to the lead keeper, whose name appears in the second field.
Build the answer in stages, checking the output of each command before you add the next. Long pipelines are easiest to trust when you have seen each step work. This is a simulated shell over invented files: it understands a teaching subset of commands, and help lists them. When you have the password for level 10, run login 10 <password> or paste it into the answer box.
